This week we are driving the latest Toyota Prius, and again we are very impressed by the car.

It makes very clever use of its kinetic energy, and despite using extensively the quite vigorous performance, our consumption is only a mere 5.1 litres for 100 km. Of course you will read our report soon... In the meantime, look at our car test pages...

We will do so, and are anxious to see what answers we get on our questions about the cooperation of German Opel engineers with their US colleagues, and what role Opel plays in the GM research effort(s). Febiac, the Belgian Automobile Federation, announced the 88th edition of the Brussels Motor Show at their press conference...
For January 14th till January 24th 2010, the 88th edition of the European Motor Show Brussels will be held. FEBIAC sprl, the Belgian Automobile Federation who is the organizer of the show, proudly announced at their press conference on December 9, 2009 through its Chairman Pierre Alain De Smedt that the 2010 edition of the Brussels car and motorcycle show has assembled nearly all makes that are represented on the Belgian market. And this at a moment when many other car shows worldwide are struggling indeed.

The show has as a central theme the technological revolution the car sector is presently going through, under the banner ‘Heading for Tomorrow’.

PR Manager Marie-Lise Verschelden opened the Chrysler Belgium annual press conference with optimism...
It is press conference time in December, and Chrysler Belgium also unfolded their plans for next year. After a rather turbulent 2009, the company looks hopefully in the future. Not less than 75 % of the vehicle line will be renewed and refreshed by 2010 and 100 % by 2012… and 56 % of the car platforms will be Fiat’s by the end of 2014.

Chrysler Belgium Managing Director Emilio Herrera pointed out that Jeep will remain one of the pillars of the group, that Dodge will still be distributed in Europe and that Lancia and Chrysler will converge… but how exactly is not known at present.
The present model range will be considerably revamped in 2010...
