Lancia will issue an original and moving publicity spot, which will be seen the coming days on the major TV stations worldwide. In 42 seconds, the film shows a number of Nobel Peace Laureates who attended on 12 to 14 November the “Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates” at Hiroshima to remember the 65th anniversary of the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan .
With some image wizardry, the Myanmar opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi appears at the end of the spot, celebrating her release.
Third year of sponsoring for peace
For the third year running, Lancia is main sponsor of the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates. After Paris (2008) and Berlin (2009, on the occasion of the celebrations for twenty years from the fall of the wall), this year the eleventh edition of the Summit has taken place on 12 to 14 November at Hiroshima to remember the 65th anniversary of the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan. Many key international figures engaged in the struggle to attain the disarmament of major world powers were present at the event in Japan. Among these Nobel Laureates Mikhail Gorbachev, Frederik Willem De Klerk, Lech Walesa, Ingrid Betancourt and the Dalai Lama.

In the midst of this event, on November 13, came the news of the liberation of Aung San Suu Kyi.
The film clip prepared for the event has, with immense joy, been re-edited in the last few hours so that the end has a totally different flavour. The Burmese opposition leader joins with a radiating smile the other Nobel Peace Laureates. The Lancia Delta, the official car for the top in Hiroshima , stays subtly in the background in this spot.
In 2008 already, a moving TV spot was also made, as in 2009, where the spot shows the metamorphose of the fallen (Berlin) wall into a white dove.
Now the Burmese leader has been released, a great battle has been won and Lancia can take immense pride in having contributed , albeit modestly, to the attainment of this goal…and the film is a fitting token of this.
